Analyst, Consultant Relations | RBC

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at RBC, located in Boston, MA. RBC Global Asset Management focuses on delivering trusted advice to clients and supporting communities. This position is vital for strengthening relationships with consulting firms and driving business development within the consulting community, directly contributing to the firm’s visibility and market penetration.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaboration: Develop and implement strategic business development plans in collaboration with Consultant Relations Managers, cultivating assigned territories and driving revenue growth.
• Research & Outreach: Conduct territory research using industry databases to identify selling opportunities and support targeted outreach efforts.
• Meeting Support: Prepare meeting materials, participate in consultant meetings, document minutes, and coordinate follow-up activities.
• CRM Management: Manage Salesforce for content delivery, pipeline maintenance, and call report analysis to support focused selling efforts and ensure accurate consultant information.
• Inquiry & Proposal Management: Coordinate responses to consultant and client inquiries, including questionnaires, Requests for Information (RFI), and Requests for Proposals (RFP).

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, with 0-3 years of experience in investment management and/or mutual funds within the financial services industry.
• Experience: Ability to obtain FINRA Series 7, 63, and 6 licenses within 6 months.
• Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, demonstrated attention to detail and project management capabilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience with Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, pursuit of industry designations such as CAIA, CIMA, or CFA, data analysis and visualization experience, or a background in marketing support or business development operations.
