Business Excellence Intern | MAHLE

The Tone:
This is an internship at MAHLE, a leading international supplier to the automotive industry, focused on shaping the future of mobility. This position, as a Business Excellence Intern, directly contributes to the operational excellence of MAHLE’s distribution center. The role is critical for upholding efficiency and accuracy by meticulously managing master data and providing vital data analysis support to the Business Excellence team, ensuring seamless operations within a collaborative environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Master Data Integrity: Ensure all master data, including product master data for components and finished goods, customer master data, and potentially vendor master data, is updated to support optimal efficiency and accuracy within distribution center operations.
• Analytical Support: Provide direct support to the Business Excellence team by conducting thorough data analysis to inform strategic decisions and process improvements.
• System Maintenance: Accurately update master data fields within the SAP PRD and PEW modules, maintaining the integrity and relevance of core business information.
• Documentation & Training: Revise and update critical work instructions and other procedural documentation to ensure clarity and adherence to best practices.
• Knowledge Dissemination: Create engaging and informative training videos to facilitate effective knowledge transfer and ensure full-time employees are proficient in necessary procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level candidates are sought who possess the ability to comprehend and precisely execute documented instructions. This includes demonstrating basic mathematical and analytical skills necessary for data-driven tasks.
• Experience: Essential qualifications include exposure to enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP, along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other relevant business analytics tools to manage and interpret data effectively.
• Skills: The successful intern will exhibit excellent organizational capabilities, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a steadfast commitment to accuracy, coupled with meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include proficiency in Power BI for advanced data visualization and reporting, and familiarity with driving a forklift for potential operational insights. Additionally, a working familiarity with Microsoft Teams and professional email communication is beneficial for daily collaboration.
