Intern – Corporate and Foundation Relations | University of Arkansas

The Tone:
This is a temporary, part-time internship at the University of Arkansas, located in Fayetteville, AR. The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Respond to Inquiries: Provide customer service by responding to internal and external phone, email, and website inquiries.
• Coordinate Logistics: Assist with coordinating campus visit and athletic suite logistics for corporate and foundation partners and other university guests.
• Manage Web Content: Create and maintain online forms and web content for the department, including corporate and foundation funding opportunities.
• Prepare Presentations: Develop PowerPoint presentations and other materials for departmental meetings, donor presentations, and special projects.
• Track Fundraising Progress: Compile and update reports for the CFR team to track progress towards annual fundraising and industry engagement goals.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Student in good standing currently pursuing a degree at the University of Arkansas. This role requires a team player willing to take on new challenges and partner effectively with staff and external stakeholders within a small, high-energy organization.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience and success with customer service, project management, and administrative functions.
• Skills: Strong grasp of the English language with proven ability to effectively write and proof content. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and related databases, coupled with a willingness to learn new platforms. Displays exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to describe technical information clearly. Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work independently, and meet deadlines. Knowledge of advanced research techniques using electronic database research and Internet resources, including AI-generated queries, is also required.
• Bonus: Experience using advanced electronic database research and Internet resources (e.g., Candid Foundation Directory, GrantForward, CauseIQ, Instrumentl). Familiarity with alumni/development databases (e.g., RazorQuest) and project management tools (e.g., MS Teams, SmartSheet) is preferred.
