What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accounting information, financial statements, general ledgers, and supporting schedules for accuracy and compliance.
• Transaction Management: Record daily financial transactions using QuickBooks or Microsoft Excel.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Tax & Audit Support: Support tax preparation, filing activities, and assist with civil and criminal audits.
• Client Communication: Communicate with clients and internal team members to resolve discrepancies and explain financial information clearly.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; strong general accounting knowledge including GAAP, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.
• Experience: Prior public accounting or professional accounting experience is strongly preferred; experience with audits is a plus.
• Skills: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel (formulas, basic data analysis), excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Bonus: Progress toward CPA licensure or CPA certification is preferred.
