GTF A220 Accounting Specialist (Hybrid) | Raytheon

The Tone:
This is a Hybrid role at RTX, located in East Hartford, CT. RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, unites minds to solve complex problems and make a difference. Pratt & Whitney, a leader in aircraft engines for over 100 years, is part of RTX and needs this specialist to manage critical financial reporting and analysis for its GTF A220 and E190 programs. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, collaborating with external partners, and supporting the future of aerospace.

• Pay: $86800–$165200 yearly
• Team: Regional Program Accounting team in the GTF financial organization
• Mission: This person owns the monthly financial reporting and analysis of P&W PW1500G (A220) and PW1900G (E190) OEM and Aftermarket activity.
• Tech Stack: MS Excel, SAP, OneStream, CoPilot

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting journal entries and related financial analysis.
• Reconciliation: Manage general ledger account reconciliations accurately and timely.
• Partner Coordination: Coordinate with external program partners to provide accounting results and facilitate their program funding.
• Consolidation: Consolidate monthly activity for A220 partner packages reporting.
• Process Improvement: Spearhead process and system improvements to support increasing volume and enhance efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant work experience; a Master’s degree requires 3+ years of relevant experience. U.S. citizenship is required for program access.
• Experience: 5+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Skills: Proficiency with MS Excel, strong data analytics skills, and effective interpersonal skills to collaborate across all organizational levels.
• Bonus: Strong communication skills (written and verbal), organized with great attention to detail, analytical abilities, a change agent mindset, experience in the Aerospace industry, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, and experience with SAP, OneStream, and CoPilot.
