The Tone:
This is a part-time, year-round internship at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, located in New York, NY. Willkie is an elite international law firm comprising approximately 1,300 lawyers across 16 offices in six countries. This role is crucial for supporting the Finance & Accounting Team by analyzing, interpreting, and reporting financial data, which directly informs business decisions and strategic planning. The intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in a law firm environment, contributing to professional development in a friendly, collaborative setting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Compile financial information to prepare journal entries.
• Foreign Operations: Support accounting tasks related to foreign operations.
• Account Reconciliation: Prepare and analyze account reconciliations.
• Fixed Assets: Assist with fixed asset accounting processes.
• Ad-Hoc Reporting: Utilize ad-hoc reporting tools to generate insights.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A student pursuing an accounting or finance degree, currently in their Junior or Senior year.
• Experience: Possess a strong academic record.
• Skills: Proficient in Excel, Access, and Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrate detail-orientation, critical thinking, and strong analytical capabilities. Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Bonus: Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within groups, acting as a team player and self-starter.
