This role supports Prime Air, a pioneering initiative focused on developing and scaling safe, cost-effective, and rapid drone delivery services to customers. A Flight Monitor is critical to ensuring the continuous safety and operational compliance of the advanced drone fleet, directly contributing to Amazon’s commitment to efficient customer delivery.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Monitor: Continuously monitor the status of all active drone flights within the assigned region, utilizing state-of-the-art monitoring systems.
• Respond: Identify and respond to any deviations from planned flight paths or operational parameters.
• Ensure Compliance: Ensure all drone flights comply with regulatory requirements and company safety policies, adhering to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives.
• Coordinate: Coordinate effectively with relevant teams to implement immediate response strategies to mitigate risks and resolve situations.
• Report: Prepare and submit detailed reports on flight activities, incidents, and anomalies, providing feedback and insights to support continuous operational improvement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School diploma or equivalent, coupled with an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and a valid, active driver’s license.
• Experience: Experience working in a team environment, demonstrating strong attention to safety and the ability to follow detailed procedures.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a high attention to detail and strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Bonus: Knowledge of aviation terminology and regulations, experience in warehouse or logistics, or prior experience in aviation, aerospace, or drone operations.
