Staff Accountant | Ledgent
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Ledgent, located in Lake Worth, FL. The company is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join their growing team. This role is crucial for supporting daily accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The Staff Accountant will also play a key part in the month-end and year-end closing processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger Management: Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, performing comprehensive account reconciliations.
• Financial Closing Support: Actively assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
• Transaction Processing: Accurately process all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and various other balance sheet accounts.
• Record Keeping & Compliance: Monitor and maintain accurate accounting records and supporting files, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum of an Associate degree or actively pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field, suitable for an Early Career professional.
• Experience: 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, specifically with QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Skills: Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrate effective time management, organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, prior experience with month-end close procedures, a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and knowledge of payroll processing or sales tax reporting. Experience in a small to mid-sized business environment is also preferred.
