Middle Office Analyst | Insight Global
The Tone:
This is a contract role for a client of Insight Global, located in Pittsburgh, PA. The client is seeking a Middle Office Analyst 1 to provide essential accounting and trading support activities for funds of moderate complexity. This role is critical for ensuring compliance with processes and procedures by performing diligent reviews of complex financial documents. The analyst will be instrumental in identifying and resolving operational inefficiencies, meticulously tracking funds and trades, and maintaining accurate records to support the client’s financial integrity.

• Mission: To provide critical accounting and trading support for funds of moderate complexity, ensuring compliance with established procedures, identifying operational fail points, and effectively communicating findings to clients.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Fund Support: Provide comprehensive accounting and trading support activities for funds of moderate complexity, operating with minimal supervision within the client’s team.
• Compliance Verification: Perform detailed reviews of moderately complex financial documents processed across the Bank to diligently confirm their compliance with established processes and procedures.
• Process Oversight: Review a moderate volume of documents to specifically ensure that processors adhered to operational procedures, thereby taking on minimal risk for the client.
• Operational Investigation & Reporting: Apply knowledge of processes and procedures to confirm findings, track funds and trades, meticulously maintain records, proactively search for fail points in processes, and draft accurate error reports for client distribution.
• Daily Operational Excellence: Support a range of daily operations, including cash and position reconciliations, cash management activities, client-specific operational processes, quality control reporting, exception research, and provide support for conversion efforts to standardized platforms.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant financial services field.
• Experience: Possess prior experience in the financial services industry, specifically within mutual funds, and hold middle office or operations experience focused on reconciliation, exception management, and control-focused review activities.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong attention to detail, exceptional skill in investigating financial breaks, ability to clearly document findings, effective communication of issues, and solid knowledge of compliance rules and service level agreements.
• Bonus: Exhibit exposure to process improvement initiatives, including automation and AI-enabled tools that enhance operational efficiency and analysis.
