EDI Coordinator I | Paychex
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Paychex, a company focused on reimagining how businesses manage their workforce through a connected HCM platform. This role is crucial for technically coordinating and supporting the administration of electronic data transfer processes, ensuring the secure and timely flow of private client information to their various trading partners via Paychex EDI tools.
The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Pay: $16.70–$26.24 hourly
• Mission: Coordinate electronic data transfer processes between clients and trading partners using Paychex EDI tools to ensure the secure and timely flow of confidential information.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Coordinate: Technically coordinate and support the administration of electronic data transfer processes for client private information.
• Integrate: Communicate with trading partners and clients to perform requirements gathering, set up data communication, and conduct integration testing for new connections.
• Test: Act as the primary contact for the EDI testing process, resolving questions and ensuring that expectations and deadlines are met.
• Resolve: Review and resolve discrepancies, errors, and transmission issues during testing and production, coordinating with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Manage: Handle feed cancellations for terminated clients, ensuring proper communication with carriers and coordinating necessary updates due to plan changes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s Degree. Core domain knowledge in EDI analysis and/or benefits administration.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in EDI analysis and/or benefits administration; 1 year of experience in Project Management.
• Skills: Knowledge of EDI tools and methods for handling confidential data, secure transfer protocols, requirements gathering, integration testing, discrepancy resolution, client and trading partner communication, and relationship cultivation.
