The Tone:
This is a full-time role at General Dynamics Information Technology, located in Springfield, VA. General Dynamics Information Technology delivers technology solutions and mission services to U.S. government, defense, and intelligence communities, supporting DoW intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats through its US BICES-X program. This Procurement Analyst role is crucial for maintaining efficient enterprise procurement processes, specifically focusing on software asset management and licensing, which directly support the warfighter and their missions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain software licensing throughout the enterprise through software asset repositories and OEM portals, recording identifiers and ensuring information is accurate and auditable.
• Track and determine software and hardware maintenance renewals by identifying them 180 days before expiration, validating with technical SMEs, and coordinating with responsible bill payers.
• Process software and hardware maintenance support renewals and new purchases by entering, tracking, and receiving items within the purchasing system.
• Audit software inventory using discovery tools, business owners, and software asset repositories to ensure compliance of software entitlements.
• Proactively analyze software data and trends to identify the best value regarding cost, software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent additional years of experience, with core domain knowledge in logistics and supply chain processes.
• Experience: 3+ years of related logistics work experience, including specific experience with Software Asset Management (SAM) applications in ServiceNow for discovery, inventory, license management, reconciliation, and compliance.
• Skills: Software Asset Management (SAM), Software Licensing, Sourcing and Procurement, Strong written and verbal communication, Analytical and problem-solving.
• Bonus: Experience with Enterprise Licensing Agreements and EULAs, ServiceNow, Microsoft Office Suite, change and configuration management, ITIL Foundations v4 Certificate, and data entry/accounting systems like SC360 and SharePoint.
