The Tone:
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, designed to build the next generation of Procurement professionals within TD Bank. During the initial two years, associates will build foundational Procurement knowledge and gain exposure to a broad range of experiences across Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Management, Contract Management, and Procurement Operations and Delivery. This early development period supports associates in building core capabilities essential for managing third-party lifecycles, operational excellence, and strong business partnerships, all while preparing for an increasing data- and AI-enabled Procurement organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Partnership: Support a range of procurement activities across multiple business units, while developing an understanding of Procurement’s role in enabling business strategy, managing third-party risk, and delivering value, ultimately building effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Strategic Sourcing: Contribute to competitive sourcing events, including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, and assist with essential tasks such as spend analysis, market research, supplier benchmarking, and the preparation of sourcing documentation.
• Vendor & Contract Management: Support supplier governance activities like performance reviews and issue management, assist in monitoring supplier performance and contractual obligations, and participate in contract administration and lifecycle activities.
• Digital, Data and AI Enablement: Utilize approved digital, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to support research, data analysis, and document preparation, while also helping to identify opportunities to simplify and improve activities through technology.
• Operational Excellence: Support procurement systems, data quality, and operational processes, drive key initiatives for operational excellence, and assist with policy adherence and the preparation of executive-ready materials.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree, certificate, or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Operations Management, or a related discipline. This role is for a recent graduate, typically within 12 months.
• Experience: Practical application of academic knowledge within a professional environment, with a focus on building foundational procurement skills within a structured development program.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, ability to interpret data and identify meaningful insights, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Demonstrates learning agility, curiosity, a continuous improvement mindset, customer and business focus, collaboration, relationship building, initiative, accountability, adaptability, critical thinking, sound judgment, and strong organization.
