This is a hybrid career opportunity for a Claims Professional I at Aon, located in their Ft. Wayne, IN office. This role is crucial in supporting Aon’s K&K Insurance group within Aon Affinity, as it involves successfully resolving non-litigated property and casualty claims for policyholders and ensuring adherence to company guidelines and insurer protocols.

• Mission: Successfully resolve non-litigated property and casualty claims made by or against policyholders.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investigate: Handle non-litigated property and casualty claims, interacting with internal and external parties, and insuring partners to ensure successful resolution.
• Verify: Investigate, verify, and analyze coverage issues, then resolve them in accordance with established insurer protocol.
• Evaluate: Investigate, analyze, and evaluate damages and liability factors, including identifying risk transfer opportunities and third-party involvement.
• Manage: Establish and monitor loss and expense reserves within defined authority levels, while completing reports timely and accurately according to company guidelines.
• Negotiate: Develop and implement appropriate resolution plans, conducting direct negotiations or, when warranted, mediated settlement discussions, and approving payments within authority.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Core domain knowledge in Property and Casualty Insurance Claims.
• Experience: 2+ years experience in Property and Casualty Insurance Claims.
• Skills: Excellent written communication skills, excellent verbal communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, computer literacy.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Indiana adjuster license required to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
