Community Associate, San Francisco | WeWork
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at WeWork, located in San Francisco. This role is crucial as the Community Associate acts as the primary point of contact and the “face” of WeWork, ensuring a welcoming, collaborative, and efficiently run environment that supports members in doing their best work.

• Pay: $24–$26 hourly
• Team: Reports to Community Lead and Community Manager, supports the Community Team.
• Mission: Owns the creation of a welcoming and fully operational building environment, acting as the primary point of contact for all members and guests.
• Tech Stack: Welkio tablet, Kube or equivalent system
What You’ll Actually Do
• Front Desk Management: Cover the front desk, greet members and guests, and manage sign-ins while anticipating their needs during business hours.
• Community Engagement: Build relationships with members, identify connection opportunities, and promote tailored events to foster a collaborative environment.
• Operational Efficiency: Ensure the building is fully operational, manage mail and keys, and maintain cleanliness and organization across common areas.
• Service Promotion: Drive the growth and promotion of WeWork-provided service offerings to members and communicate important policies and updates.
• Team Support: Take direction from the Community Lead and Community Manager to support the overall Community Team as necessary to achieve mission goals.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-Level. College graduate with a four-year degree is preferred, but not required, with core domain knowledge in hospitality.
• Experience: 1+ years of hospitality experience is required; customer service and/or sales experience is a plus.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, outstanding interpersonal and multitasking abilities, and proficient in basic computer skills.
• Bonus: Passion for entrepreneurial communities and a deep understanding of WeWork’s mission and values.
