Sales & Operations Growth Representative — DFW | shift

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at shift, located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. shift is building the dataset that trains the next generation of physical AI by partnering with workers and businesses to capture first-person footage of real-world tasks. This role is crucial for expanding shift’s network of business partners across the United States, specifically leading the growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. You will be directly responsible for activating new partners and ensuring the successful adoption of the platform.

The TL;DR

• Location: In-person, Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex
• Mission: To own the entire activation process from initial introduction to successful and consistent recording for new business partners and workers in the DFW area.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Market Expansion: Identify and visit promising businesses throughout Dallas–Fort Worth to introduce shift’s opportunity for additional income.
• Full-Cycle Onboarding: Own the entire activation process, from introducing shift to business owners and workers, to distributing recording equipment, and setting up the shift app.
• Relationship & Performance Management: Build and independently manage a portfolio of local business relationships, monitoring activations, recording hours, and partner performance.
• Problem Solving & Support: Address questions and objections directly in the field, follow up with new partners, and solve operational problems to ensure successful recording.
• Strategic Contribution: Gather feedback from the field and share insights with shift’s leadership team to aid strategic development and inform future growth.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An individual who enjoys fieldwork and direct interaction, thriving on meeting business owners and workers in person across hands-on industries.
• Experience: Ability to operate independently, manage multiple business relationships, and handle follow-ups effectively. Must possess a valid driver’s license, own vehicle, and willingness to travel throughout DFW to various active work environments like workshops, job sites, and commercial kitchens.
• Skills: Clear and rapid trust-building communication; exceptional organizational skills for managing a portfolio of relationships; proactive, resourceful problem-solving, and comfortable with independent operation in ambiguous field environments; strong ownership and a commitment to completing tasks.
• Bonus: Prior experience in field sales, business development, community outreach, staffing, operations, or local business partnerships. Familiarity with the Dallas–Fort Worth business community, particularly within construction, skilled trades, hospitality, landscaping, repair, logistics, or manufacturing sectors.
