Area Manager II – (Shift 1) | Thrive Market

This is a full-time role at Thrive Market, located in one of its Fulfillment Centers. The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Sunday-Wednesday, 6:00am-4:30pm (subject to change; overtime and coverage of other shifts required as needed)

• Pay: $60000–$85000 yearly
• Team: Leads and manages multiple operational teams within a Fulfillment Center, ensuring effective strategy implementation.
• Mission: Lead, develop, and optimize operational teams to achieve strategic goals, ensure high-quality deliverables, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships within a fast-paced fulfillment environment.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Oversight & Quality Assurance: Provide managerial oversight to multiple teams, ensuring they achieve operational goals and foster strong stakeholder relationships. Oversee the effective implementation of Fulfillment Center strategies and uphold the highest quality standards for team deliverables.
• Culture & Environment Building: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, aligning with Thrive Market’s core values. Actively recognize and celebrate team achievements to promote a culture of excellence and belonging among team members.
• Process Optimization & Resource Management: Prioritize operational excellence by continuously optimizing team metrics, processes, and best practices. Ensure strict compliance with company policies, effectively allocate resources to meet operational targets, identify and address root causes of inefficiencies, and enhance deliverable quality.
• Team Development & Coaching: Coach and develop team members to encourage significant skill growth, independent decision-making, and active participation in discussions. Strategically assign tasks designed to develop individual team members, and rigorously review work to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with broader organizational goals.
• Risk Management & Stakeholder Communication: Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and operational blockers, while effectively managing team commitments to prevent over-commitment. Maintain open and transparent communication channels with partner teams, stakeholders, and management, sharing priorities, status updates, and team challenges for informed decision-making.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of leadership experience in Fulfillment, Distribution, or Warehouse operations.
• Experience: Proven track record in managing teams, influencing stakeholders, driving strategic initiatives, and coaching team members.
• Skills: Advanced functional knowledge of supply chain management, including fulfillment, procurement, transportation, and warehousing; strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities; excellent verbal and written communication abilities; required bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to effectively communicate and lead a diverse workforce.
