Manager, Strategy & Transformation (Financial Systems) | MorganFranklin Consulting
The Tone:
This is a full-time, client-facing hybrid role at MorganFranklin Consulting. The company guides clients through significant business and finance transformations, including major transactions like M&A, carve-outs, IPOs, and system implementations, as well as organizational change. This role is crucial for supporting clients in defining business strategy and executing transformation initiatives across operational accounting, financial process improvement, and financial technology enablement. The Manager will help organizations navigate complex challenges and deliver tangible outcomes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Leadership: Support large-scale programs and multi-workstream initiatives for clients, ensuring strategic alignment and timely execution across all workstreams.
• Strategic Partnership: Partner with senior team members to execute strategic initiatives, drive transformation projects, and develop executive-ready recommendations and communications.
• Client Engagement: Lead client workshops, conduct current-state assessments, facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, and deliver compelling executive presentations.
• Problem Solving: Apply expertise in Finance & Accounting, operations, project management, product management, and problem-solving to address complex client challenges, often with limited formal documentation.
• Deliverable Creation: Produce high-quality client deliverables, including assessing current state, recommending future state solutions, writing business requirements, test cases, executing tests, and escalating issues through to resolution, without relying on standardized templates.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Consulting, Finance, or Accounting. This includes knowledge of financial services, FinTech, insurance, brokerage, Fortune 500 Tech, or similarly complex enterprise environments.
• Experience: Direct involvement with complex mergers and acquisitions, integration projects, and/or system implementations. Must have experience working directly with Finance & Accounting teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including Lines of Business Leads, Product, and Technology.
• Skills: Strong communication, leadership communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Hands-on experience with assessing current state and making recommendations for future state, writing business requirements and test cases, executing test cases, and escalating issues through to resolution.
• Bonus: Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning tools (such as SAP, Oracle), prior client-facing work in professional services, project management experience, or knowledge of operational accounting, SOX/controls, FP&A, SEC or regulatory reporting, integration or M&A. Advanced degrees (MBA or MSA) or certification (CPA or equivalent) are also preferred.
