The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Lynx EMS, located in Newburgh, IN. Lynx EMS provides essential emergency medical services, and this position is pivotal for directing daily operations at a brand new site. The Operations Manager will oversee, lead, and manage the day-to-day functions, ensuring seamless service delivery, staff effectiveness, and compliance at the assigned satellite location. This role is crucial for establishing and maintaining operational integrity at the new Newburgh site.

• Team: Manages Operations Supervisors and emergency medical staff, reporting directly to the Regional Manager of Operations.
• Mission: To oversee, lead, and manage the day-to-day operations of Lynx EMS at the assigned satellite location(s) to ensure operational integrity.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Daily Operations Oversight: Meet daily with Operations Supervisors to assess and review day-to-day operations, including staffing, scheduling, and employee counseling, assisting with all work regardless of shift.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary liaison between Operations Supervisors, hospitals, nursing facilities, and the Regional Manager of Operations, providing weekly and real-time briefings and updates.
• Operational Improvement & Policy: Identify and implement improvements to administrative and operational functions, provide leadership to emergency medical staff, and recommend or assist in creating new policies and procedures.
• Resource and HR Management: Review and recommend staffing and equipment needs for budget purposes, verify staffing for all shifts, and participate in human resources responsibilities like interviewing and incident investigation.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure the operation site complies with all city, state, federal, and Lynx EMS regulations, determine policy compliance, correct deficiencies, and submit all required daily, weekly, and incident reports.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum current state EMT licensing and certification. Foundational knowledge of EMS policies, procedures, emergency medical response techniques, and protocols. Understanding of basic management and supervision principles.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing EMS operations, including inventory maintenance and control, and basic record keeping.
• Skills: Ability to work under stressful situations, assess information, and make educated decisions; skilled in establishing and maintaining good working relations with staff, facility personnel, and the public; proficient in effectively managing staff, supervisors, equipment, facilities, and operations; skilled in operating a personal computer utilizing various software applications; and effective communication in both oral and written form.
