Dispatcher | DO & CO AG

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at DO & CO AG, located in New York. DO & CO AG provides gourmet entertainment across airline catering, event catering, and restaurants, operating in 33 locations across 12 countries and 3 continents. This role is crucial for supervising driver teams and ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of all flights, supporting the company’s high standards of quality in products and services. The Dispatcher plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, and support a large team of drivers and driver helpers, including managing schedules and documentation.
• Information Management: Process and manage meal ordering information, ensuring accurate and timely distribution to all relevant departments.
• Vehicle Oversight: Ensure all vehicles are in proper working condition, including compliance, fueling, and maintenance.
• Communication Hub: Receive and relay important incoming calls and information from airline clients and the airport to the respective departments.
• Regulatory Adherence: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations as outlined in the Food Safety Management System Handbook, reporting any concerns to management and the hygiene team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Career level: Entry-level to experienced professional. Core domain: Logistics or transportation operations.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a similar role, with a focus on managing operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Skills: Excellent planning and coordination, strong communication, effective decision-making, proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Bonus: Ability to manage quickly to overcome deficiencies in transportation, successful completion of mandatory airport security clearance (e.g., SIDA, AOA badge), flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and ability to work long hours on foot in environments with varying temperatures.
