Marketing Intern | The Safety Navigator

The Tone:
This is a Marketing Intern position at The Safety Navigator, a fully remote AI-native nonprofit. We transform camp safety requirements into practical action, guiding camp leaders and staff to build stronger safety cultures without adding bureaucracy. In this hands-on role, you will help us tell our story across various channels, ensuring every child who goes to camp comes home safely. We are an AI-native organization, using AI tools daily to move faster and build smarter.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Strategy: Develop and execute content strategy for social media, growing our voice and reach in the camp and youth development space.
• Newsletter Production: Write and design the company newsletter using Beehiiv, transforming safety updates into engaging content for camp directors.
• Brand Development: Support brand development, from visual identity to voice and tone, across both digital and physical assets.
• Outreach Materials: Produce compelling outreach materials that effectively connect with camp leaders and partners.
• Market Research & Support: Conduct market research on camps and youth organizations to sharpen our strategy, and assist with partner communications and light customer service touchpoints.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Marketing, Communications, Design, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated interest in content strategy, brand development, or digital marketing across social media, newsletters, and design.
• Skills: Strong writing and communication, an eye for tone and audience, the ability to conduct market research, self-direction, organization, comfort with remote work, and curiosity about AI tools.
• Bonus: A strong interest in nonprofit work, safety, or summer camp, coupled with a passion for our mission and a willingness to learn quickly.
