The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Lima One Capital, located in Greenville, SC. Lima One Capital is a ~250-employee organization specializing in real estate lending, providing financing for rental, fix-and-flip, and new construction projects across 46 states and D.C. This role is essential for supporting monthly accounting and reporting functions, leveraging modern ERP and AI-powered tools to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting workflows within the company. This position plays a key part in the overall financial operations of a company that has funded over $10 billion in loans since 2010.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Close: Assist with month-end, quarter-end close, and year-end processes, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Journals: Prepare and post journal entries with proper documentation and support for general ledger accounts.
• Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations across key accounts, identifying and resolving outstanding items and discrepancies.
• Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly financial statements, management reporting packages, and internal/external financial reports, ensuring data accuracy.
• Data & Automation: Utilize Campfire ERP, AI tools, Snowflake data warehouse, Tableau, SQL, and Python to process transactions, analyze data, draft reports, and automate recurring accounting tasks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or 4+ years of related accounting experience in lieu of a 4-year degree.
• Experience: 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services, mortgage lending, or real estate; proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict close deadlines.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; tech-savvy with a genuine interest in working across modern accounting and data platforms; working knowledge of SQL for querying and analyzing data.
• Bonus: Experience with Campfire, Snowflake, Tableau, or AI-assisted tools (Claude, Shortcut); basic coding or scripting experience (e.g., Python); experience working in a SOX-compliant environment.
