Fan Experience & Engagement Intern | LOVB Nebraska
The Tone:
This is an internship at LOVB Nebraska, a professional women’s volleyball team helping to shape the future of women’s professional sports. The organization is committed to creating memorable experiences for fans and growing the game of volleyball in the community. This role is crucial for establishing the standard for fan experience and game presentation, contributing to building something special from the ground up during an exciting period of growth.

• Pay: $15 hourly
• Team: Reports to the Manager of Fan Experience & Engagement, and leads the LOVB Nebraska College Crew.
• Mission: Helps establish the standard for fan experience and game presentation—not only in volleyball, but across the sports industry.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, PowerPoint
What You’ll Actually Do
• Match Day Planning: Assist in planning and executing the overall match day entertainment experience, including promotions, fan activations, and scripts.
• Talent & Ceremonies: Identify and coordinate match day talent, such as performers and special guests, and assist with on-court ceremonies.
• Crew Management: Recruit, schedule, and supervise the LOVB Nebraska College Crew, leading them on match days for an exceptional fan experience.
• Fan Interaction: Engage with fans directly throughout the arena to cultivate an energetic, welcoming, and memorable atmosphere.
• Community Outreach: Support community outreach initiatives, including tabling events and promotional appearances, and coordinate player engagement opportunities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Prior customer service experience is highly valued; demonstrated leadership experience through work, student organizations, athletics, or campus involvement is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and PowerPoint; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to problem-solve and adapt in live event situations.
• Bonus: Junior or Senior academic standing; experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other creative software; experience with live event production or entertainment; experience leading or managing peers.
