Overnight Operations Manager | The Restaurant Store

The Tone:
This is an overnight role at The Restaurant Store, located in a retail branch location. The Restaurant Store operates as a dedicated provider of restaurant supplies and foodservice equipment, striving to exceed customer expectations through excellent hospitality, quality, and value. This role is vital for overseeing the physical merchandising and operational readiness of the store during non-business hours. By effectively managing product replenishment and store organization, this manager directly contributes to sales optimization and a seamless customer experience.

• Team: Reports to the Branch Manager
• Mission: This person manages the physical merchandising and operational goals for a retail branch location during overnight hours.
• Tech Stack: MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM systems, project management tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Replenish: Optimize sales based on effective product replenishment throughout the branch location, ensuring a high level of organization and neatness.
• Display Maintenance: Maintain promotional displays throughout the store, highlighting promotional items in an effective manner.
• Order Fulfillment: Support order fulfillment methods of the location by managing order pulling as needed throughout the shift.
• Team Leadership & Communication: Communicate effectively with other department managers and leadership to ensure customer needs are met, and support the development and training of the overnight team.
• Building Management: Manage building safety by holding keys and using alarm codes, and maintain the overall cleanliness of the store.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager. Core domain knowledge in retail and supply chain management with a specific focus on merchandising.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Associate’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Skills: Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Bonus: Experience with CRM systems and project management tools; Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; Service leadership approach with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.
