The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at Aflac Asset Mgt. LLC, located in New York City, NY. Aflac, a Fortune 500 company, is an industry leader in voluntary insurance products that provide cash directly to policyholders. This position is vital for providing comprehensive operational support for trading workflows, ensuring efficient trade matching, accurate settlement, and compliance across a variety of investment instruments. The role is critical in maintaining the integrity of financial records and advancing operational processes within a global investment context.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Trade Operations Support: Provide operational support for trading workflows, ensuring accurate trade matching and settlement while resolving discrepancies with counterparties and internal stakeholders.
• Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile cash, investment activity, and positions across order management, custodian, and accounting systems.
• Broker & Custodian Management: Set up and maintain accounts with brokers and custodians, manage SSIs, execute money movement transactions, and assist with global custodian management.
• Compliance & Controls: Maintain books and records in compliance with regulatory requirements and contribute to enhancing control environments and process documentation.
• Process Advancement & Projects: Lead the improvement of investment trade operations reports, KPIs, and processes, and participate in or lead ad-hoc projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Career level: AVP. Education: An equivalent combination of education and experience. Core domain: 7+ years of relevant work experience in financial services technology and trade operations management (preferably life insurance and/or asset management).
• Experience: 5 years of direct experience in Fixed Income, Private Placements and Derivatives’ operations. Proficiency with BBG AIM/MARS/BCOL, Bloomberg terminal, Markit, DTCC CTM, Indus Valley Partners reconciliation, and FX ALL.
• Skills: Superior MS Excel skills (pivot tables, reference and lookup formulas, macros), excellent verbal and written communication, highly organized with superior attention to detail, ability to work accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines, strong problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Experience with margin and collateral management and counterparty interactions.
