• Mission: Own the accurate maintenance of financial records, ensuring timely, compliant, and organized reporting to support the division’s lending operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Record: Accurately record all financial transactions for the division/team on a daily basis.
• Prepare: Prepare and update journal entries to reflect ongoing financial activities and adjustments.
• Reconcile: Reconcile various financial accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist: Assist with the preparation of essential financial statements and reports.
• Manage: Manage accounts payable and receivable, alongside tracking all divisional expenses comprehensively.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Foundational understanding of bookkeeping and journal entries, accounting principles, and basic finance principles.
• Experience: Proficiency with accounting software and related digital tools; experience with preparing financial statements.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry; excellent organizational skills; effective communication skills and the proven ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Bonus: An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred; relevant experience within the mortgage, lending, or financial services sectors is beneficial.
