The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Pinehurst Surgical Clinic, located in Pinehurst, NC. Pinehurst Surgical Clinic is a leading healthcare provider in North Carolina, operating as a private practice multispecialty surgical clinic that includes more than 50 physicians, 50 advanced practice providers, and over 400 support staff. This role is crucial for expanding the clinic’s Orthopaedic Surgery department by establishing a busy, subspecialty-focused Hand and Upper Extremity practice within a well-established and growing organization.

• Team: Orthopaedic Surgery department consisting of 14 general and subspecialty orthopaedic surgeons, FP Sports Medicine, and Pain Management physicians, along with 19 Advanced Practice Providers, within a multispecialty clinic.
• Mission: To quickly develop and manage a subspecialty-focused Hand and Upper Extremity orthopaedic practice, with the option to include general orthopaedics, contributing to a leading private surgical clinic.
• Tech Stack: MRI, CT

What You’ll Actually Do
• Establish: Quickly develop and manage a thriving subspecialty-focused Hand and Upper Extremity orthopaedic practice.
• Perform: Provide expert outpatient and inpatient surgical care at First Health of the Carolinas facilities and the new Orthopaedic Center of Excellence ambulatory surgery center.
• Participate: Share equally in general orthopaedic call duties with orthopaedic partners at a community hospital, receiving pay for call.
• Collaborate: Integrate effectively within a large multispecialty private practice, utilizing partner-owned ancillary services and satellite office options.
• Drive: Exercise autonomy over personal schedule and lifestyle while pursuing potential partnership within the clinic after one year.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Doctorate Degree (MD) in Orthopaedic Surgery with subspecialty training in Hand/Upper Extremity.
• Experience: Completion of an accredited Hand/Upper Extremity Orthopaedic Surgery fellowship.
• Skills: Hand Surgery, Upper Extremity Surgery, General Orthopaedic Surgery (optional), Patient Care, Surgical Procedures.
