Venture Capital Intern | Wall Street Oasis

The Tone:
This is a virtual internship at Wall Street Oasis, located remotely. Wall Street Oasis operates the largest career community focused on finance careers, serving over 1 million registered members and attracting 20 million annual visits annually. This highly selective internship is designed to provide top students with hands-on experience and structured training, enhancing their VC resume and developing real venture-style research skills. The program aims to identify high-potential talent and connect them with a network of partner organizations in the venture capital ecosystem.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Training: Complete two weeks of structured training designed to build core venture investing skills.
• Assessment: Pass training assessments to qualify for advancement and placement with partner organizations.
• Support: Work directly with micro-VC funds, venture studios, accelerators, and angel syndicates to support deal flow and sourcing.
• Research: Conduct comprehensive market mapping, thesis research, and competitive landscape analysis.
• Deliverables: Prepare startup evaluations, deal memos, diligence support, and IC-prep style briefs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Students exploring venture capital, startups, growth equity, or investing are ideal candidates.
• Experience: No prior venture capital experience is required; performance in assessments and training is the most important factor.
• Skills: Strong research capabilities, analytical thinking, clear written communication, ability to work independently, quick learning aptitude.
