The TL;DR

• Team: Reports to a Senior Accountant
• Mission: This person will ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency by managing core accounting processes and leveraging technology-driven insights.
• Tech Stack: Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics (or similar ERP/accounting systems), Microsoft Excel, AI-enabled tools, reporting tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Prepare and post accurate journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly account reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances promptly.
• Accounts Payable Management: Manage portions of the accounts payable process, including coding, discrepancy resolution, reconciliation, and credit card accounting.
• Fixed Asset Oversight: Oversee the fixed asset subledger, processing additions, disposals, transfers, impairments, and retirements.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to process improvements and help drive operational efficiencies within accounting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience: 1-2 years of accounting or relevant experience, including proficiency with ERP/accounting systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, robust analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Bonus: Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth companies, healthcare staffing, or professional services industries. Prior experience working with process automation, reporting, or AI-assisted accounting tools, or a CPA certification/candidacy.
