This is an internship at Forvis Mazars US, located in multiple locations across the country, providing an opportunity to gain practical experience in forensic accounting and valuation. This role is crucial for supporting the firm’s Forensics & Valuation practice by assisting clients with complex financial issues, including forensic accounting, litigation services, fraud investigations, and various valuation issues related to compliance, mergers & acquisitions, and financial reporting. What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Business valuation models and reports for various client needs.
• Research: Industry, transactional, and economic information to support client engagements.
• Analyze: Detailed financial and legal documents, potentially fraudulent transactions, and reconstruct financial statements.
• Assist: Audit teams with reviewing and testing fair value estimates and mathematical testing related to quality control procedures.
• Deliver: Unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college/university.
• Experience: No specific years of professional experience are required as this is an internship, but candidates should demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Some travel, up to 20%, may be required for client engagements or team collaboration.
• Skills: Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall), effective time management and strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with a team as well as independently, a problem-solving attitude with a willingness to take initiative, and close attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and against deadlines.
• Bonus: A desire or the ability to sit for the CPA exam, or a desire to obtain the Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credentials.
