Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety | Omnia Healthcare Group

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Omnia Healthcare Group, supporting over 40 skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers. Omnia Healthcare Group is a home office dedicated to empowering healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care. This position provides critical leadership for quality assessment and performance improvement programs, ensuring facilities provide safe, effective, and resident-centered care. The role is vital in developing strategic goals for quality improvement and risk mitigation across the organization.

• Team: Reports to the Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel.
• Mission: Lead the quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) programs to ensure high-quality, safe, effective, and equitable resident care.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office, healthcare management software, clinical information management systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversee Programs: Oversee the development and implementation of the organization’s quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) programs in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational strategy.
• Analyze Performance: Develop, monitor, trend, and analyze clinical quality targets and metrics, designing plans to address gaps using research-based methods and resources.
• Develop Strategy: Develop short- and long-term strategic plans regarding quality improvement, root cause analysis, and patient safety, ensuring alignment with patient needs and industry best practices.
• Advise Teams: Advise the clinical and operations teams on establishing key performance indicators and clinical goals to improve quality and manage risk.
• Ensure Compliance: Advise on and participate in Joint Commission, state, and other survey responses, while maintaining current knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations related to long-term care QAPI.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Executive-level experience with a strong understanding of the long-term care industry, including state and federal regulations and regulatory compliance.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, with previous experience in healthcare QAPI or risk management, and a proven track record of leading performance- and outcomes-based programs.
• Skills: Exceptional leadership ability, strong strategic and analytical orientation, proficiency in QAPI leadership, patient safety and risk management, and executive leadership and strategic planning.
• Bonus: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing (BSN/MSN), a master’s degree in social work (MSW), or an RN or LCSW license in a state where a facility is located; a master’s degree in a healthcare-related field or enterprise risk management; or 4 years of progressively responsible leadership experience.
