The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: First Shift – 6 AM – 2 PM
• Location: In-person, Lexington, NC

• Team: Partners with production and leads maintenance, engineering, and quality teams.
• Mission: Leads extrusion process optimization, troubleshoots issues, and drives efficiency, yield, and throughput improvements.
• Tech Stack: ERP/manufacturing systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Optimizes Extrusion Processes: Leads the optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of extrusion operations across all production lines to enhance overall performance.
• Establishes Process Standards: Defines, implements, and rigorously maintains standard process parameters to ensure consistency in product quality and operational output.
• Drives Operational Efficiency: Conducts in-depth analysis of production data to identify trends, then implements strategies that improve efficiency, yield, and throughput.
• Manages Team & Quality: Oversees the Maintenance Team to significantly improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime, simultaneously ensuring all processes adhere to internal quality standards and customer specifications.
• Develops Technical Capability: Provides essential training, coaching, and development to technical staff and operators, building a higher level of capability and expertise across the entire team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Over five years of experience in extrusion manufacturing, specifically with plastics or vinyl, including applying process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma. Demonstrated capability in data analysis to achieve measurable operational improvements.
• Skills: Strong understanding of extrusion processes, materials, and tooling; ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions; process optimization; and providing hands-on technical support during operational disruptions.
• Bonus: Experience within high-volume manufacturing environments, prior leadership or supervisory responsibilities, and familiarity with ERP or other manufacturing systems.
