• Mission: To plan, organize, develop, and direct the Maintenance Department’s operations, ensuring the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner according to all applicable standards.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Department Leadership: Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct all programs and activities within the Maintenance Department, ensuring seamless operation.
• Administrative Oversight: Assume full administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for the overall direction and performance of the Maintenance Department.
• Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordinate maintenance services and activities collaboratively with other related departments to support efficient facility operations and resident well-being.
• Reporting and Recommendations: Prepare and present necessary written or oral reports and recommendations to the Administrator concerning the detailed operation and performance of the Maintenance Department.
• Facility Standards Assurance: Direct efforts to assure that the entire facility is consistently maintained in a safe and comfortable manner, strictly adhering to current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Director-level leadership of a maintenance department, with a comprehensive understanding of current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing facility maintenance.
• Experience: Previous experience within a Maintenance Department.
• Skills: Demonstrated patience, tact, a pleasant disposition, and enthusiasm, coupled with the ability to interact effectively with residents across varying maturity levels.
• Bonus: Prior experience within Long Term Care settings.
