What You’ll Actually Do
• Activity Leadership: Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities and events, such as exercise classes, arts and crafts, and social gatherings.
• Program Development: Develop and implement activity calendars to ensure a diverse range of activities for residents.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement activities that cater to residents’ unique needs and abilities.
• Event Coordination: Coordinate and participate in special events, including holiday celebrations, birthday parties, and theme days.
• Team Oversight: Supervise and train activity assistants and volunteers while maintaining accurate records of resident participation and activity logs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Director level. High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in activities direction or a related field.
• Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills; adaptability to changing priorities; compassionate and empathetic approach to working with seniors.
• Bonus: Degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, or a related field preferred.
