Marketing Intern – Eagle Dining – Univ of Southern Mississippi | Aramark

The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Aramark, located in Hattiesburg, MS, within the University of Southern Mississippi’s Eagle Dining services. Aramark is a global company that proudly serves millions of guests daily through food and facilities in 15 countries around the world. This role is crucial for assisting the Eagle Dining Marketing Department in its promotional efforts, helping to achieve marketing goals, and will allow the intern to acquire valuable marketing and communication skills. It offers broad experience in the field and prepares individuals for a professional work environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Social Media: Create social media content for Eagle Dining’s Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
• Event Management: Conceive and implement Eagle Dining events.
• Videography: Produce videography content to promote dining services.
• Public Speaking: Present dining information to guests, students, and parents during University orientation and recruitment events.
• Outreach: Educate and promote meal plans at Eagle Dining tabling events and activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be a current student enrolled at Southern Miss.
• Experience: Prior marketing and/or videography experience is considered a plus.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and potential customers, characterized by an outgoing and friendly demeanor.
• Bonus: Proficiency with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suites.
