The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Lineage Logistics, located in Hemmant and Cannon Hill, Queensland, Australia. Lineage is the world’s largest temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions provider, boasting a global network of over 400 facilities across 25 countries. As General Manager, you will lead two strategically important Queensland operations, driving transformational change to eliminate waste and help feed the world.

• Team: Reports to the Regional Director Operations, North
• Mission: This person owns the overall performance of both Hemmant and Cannon Hill sites, encompassing safety, customer service, financial outcomes, people development, continuous improvement, and operational delivery.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Performance: Take full accountability for overall site performance, including P&L, financial outcomes, budgeting, customer service, and operational delivery.
• People & Culture: Engage and inspire a large operational workforce, supporting a safety-first culture, and championing workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development.
• Strategy & Efficiency: Develop and deliver operational strategies aligned with national objectives, identifying and implementing productivity, efficiency, and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Compliance & Improvement: Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, Chain of Responsibility, and regulatory requirements, while advocating continuous improvement and advancing operational excellence across all functions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Extensive senior leadership experience within large-scale logistics, warehousing, supply chain, cold storage, manufacturing, or related distribution operations.
• Experience: Demonstrated success leading large, diverse and multi-layered teams; in-depth commercial acumen with proven P&L accountability; experience managing customer relationships in a service-driven environment; a proven ability to improve productivity, service, and operational performance.
• Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities, adept at partnering with key stakeholders across Operations, Safety, HR, Engineering, Finance, and Commercial teams; strong credentials in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control; a passion for safety leadership and building high-performance cultures.
• Bonus: Qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
