What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead and Develop Talent: Direct, recruit, train, develop, and provide performance feedback to direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Drive Performance Goals: Achieve company performance goals, including internal and external Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Labor to Revenue (LTR) and truck turn times.
• Optimize Operations: Review and analyze all warehouse activities and costs to identify and implement process improvements.
• Expand Business: Collaborate with the Sales Manager on marketing and sales efforts, including planning new account strategies, prospecting, quoting rates, and closing sales.
• Manage Resources & Budgets: Monitor and control budgets, capital expenditures, material handling equipment, and space utilization to meet corporate targets.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 5 years of Operations Management experience in Supply Chain or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in the development and implementation of strategy and annual plans (budget, operational performance, SOPs, workshops) and bottom-line cost/efficiency management. Experience managing, training, and developing people in operational roles, with a proven background in continuous improvement quality processes such as Six Sigma and/or LEAN.
• Skills: Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, and demonstrated experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with internal and external customers, lead discussions, make presentations, and deliver technical results to a non-technical audience, alongside excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to deal with ambiguity.
