Task Force Manager | Landing

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Landing, requiring 80% travel across the US, with a strong preference for candidates based in Chicago, IL. Landing has built the largest flexible living network in the country, operating in 35+ markets with thousands of apartments. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless market operations and maintaining high standards of member experience and unit quality during General Manager leaves, directly impacting the company’s reputation and growth.

• Mission: Own full market operations, member experience, and unit quality across various US markets during General Manager absences.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage full market operations, including member experience, property relationships, and vendor coordination, during General Manager leaves.
• Resolve member support tickets and communications across all channels.
• Coordinate with property management teams to address member concerns, resolve maintenance requests, and execute new leases.
• Ensure unit quality meets Landing standards through pre-move-in evaluations.
• Drive market growth by coordinating and installing new Landing homes within assigned markets.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level, with core domain knowledge in hotel operations, short-term rental management, or high-volume hospitality.
• Experience: 2+ years in hotel operations, short-term rental management, or high-volume hospitality, including running a market, property, or operation with real autonomy.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills and follow-through, ability to triage under pressure, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, bias for action, comfort with ambiguity and 80% travel.
• Bonus: Proximity to major airports and ease of access to Landing’s remote markets (candidates based in Chicago strongly preferred).
