This role provides crucial support in financial modeling, data analysis, and strategic decision-making, directly contributing to the future growth and operational excellence of the natural gas utility.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Generate financial results by modeling project inputs into all PGS business financial models.
• Process Enhancement: Assist with maintaining and enhancing PGS’s financial assumptions, processes, and the deployment of models.
• Information Gathering: Gather and maintain needed sources of information to support modeling, analysis, sales, and decision-making activities.
• Reporting & Presentation: Prepare charts, graphs, presentations, and summaries in support of project feasibilities and strategic business objectives.
• Strategic Support: Assist with ad-hoc strategic analysis as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an undergraduate program, or a graduate program, at an ABET-accredited university or college. Must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• Experience: Must be part of your university’s co-op program to qualify as a co-op student.
• Skills: Excel basics (use of formulas, formatting); Knowledge of PowerPoint; Field of study in Business Analytics or Finance.
• Bonus: Local to Tampa, FL; Prior Intern/Co-Op with Peoples Gas; Advanced Excel (indexing, arrays, Pivot tables); Knowledge of Organization and Process Improvement; Familiarity with Power BI and MySQL.
