What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Effectively manage assigned insurance receivables to achieve business line expectations and cash recovery goals.
• Maintain: Achieve productivity standards and maintain a minimum of 85% work quality scoring and accuracy on all accounts worked.
• Follow-Up: Complete timely follow-up on assigned accounts to ensure resolution within 90 days of placement and prevent cash loss.
• Research: Perform account research, navigate client host systems, and route accounts through appropriate client workflows, including basic claim billing functions.
• Document: Clearly prepare appeals for payment to insurance companies when appropriate and maintain clear, concise, and accurate documentation in patient accounting systems.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High School Diploma with core domain knowledge in a health care receivables environment.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in a health care receivables environment.
• Skills: Basic computer proficiency, familiarity with patient accounting software, data management skills, proficiency in numeracy skills, above average knowledge of administrative procedures.
