Compliance Intern | First Mutual Holding Co.
The Tone:
This is a part-time, hybrid internship at First Mutual Holding Co., with one day a week in the office in Westlake, OH, and the rest working remotely. The company is dedicated to providing quality financial services to its customers. This role is critical for assisting the Compliance Department in managing various tasks, ensuring the company’s adherence to regulatory requirements and supporting its mission.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist the Compliance department by actively working on projects and assigned tasks across the entire department.
• Review: Help with Risk Assessment reviews, Office of Foreign Assets Control tasks, and related reporting requirements.
• Ensure: Contribute to quality control processes, compliance reviews, and Bank Secrecy Act compliance tasks and reporting.
• Administer: Aid in general activities including business continuity planning and administration, high-risk customer due diligence, and vendor management support.
• Perform: Execute any other duties as assigned which are required to support the company’s mission of providing quality financial services.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience is required. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
• Skills: Adaptability, Cooperation, Communication skills, Customer service, Quality of work, Workflow skills, Attendance and dependability.
• Bonus: Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred. Experience in accounting within financial services or banking is preferred. Proficiency in Cleartouch, OnBase, or various government and investor software/web portals is preferred.
