This Card Services Specialist I role is integral to providing essential clerical processing and dedicated customer service support for all card-related operations. Your contribution will directly impact client satisfaction and the seamless functionality of the bank’s card services, upholding the bank’s mission and compliance standards.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Communication: Respond to client inquiries and requests via phone and email, providing clear and helpful information regarding card services.
• Card Production & Maintenance: Set up new card accounts, perform necessary maintenance, and produce and distribute physical cards using specialized software and equipment for instant issuance.
• Financial Transactions: Process credit card payments and accurately balance and reconcile General Ledger accounts related to card services.
• Fraud & Risk Management: Audit card fraud disputes, track associated bank losses, and ensure adherence to the bank’s risk management protocols.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Research and analyze card functionality issues for clients, effectively diagnosing concerns and articulating clear solutions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level to early-career professional holding a High School diploma or GED, demonstrating foundational operational knowledge of card services and associated software for production and maintenance.
• Experience: No specific years of professional experience are strictly required for this role.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to simplify complex ideas, proficient problem-solving capabilities, an understanding of appropriate risk exposure for a financial institution, and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Bonus: A preference for candidates with 1 year of banking experience, alongside personal attributes such as self-motivation, dependability, attention to detail, and a proactive eagerness to learn.
