Central Scheduling Representative | Jefferson Health

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Jefferson Health, located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, with hours falling between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Access Management: Handle access-related requests from patients and families, utilizing an automated call distribution software and established protocols to efficiently schedule appointments.
• Inquiry and Direction: Triage general patient inquiries and accurately direct callers to the appropriate healthcare services and information, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
• Registration and Data Accuracy: Complete patient registration and confirm appointments within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, meticulously obtaining and verifying demographic and insurance benefit eligibility information.
• Benefit and Compliance Coordination: Coordinate orders, referrals, and insurance requirements by confirming patient information to maximize benefits for services and assure regulatory compliance following local payor coverage determinations.
• Service Excellence Delivery: Consistently support a commitment to service excellence by focusing on first call resolution, maintaining registration accuracy, and ensuring ease of access to all Jefferson Health services for a diverse patient population.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical terminology used by insurance and managed care health plans is required.
• Experience: Previous related experience is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in computer use, accurate data collection and entry, and a typing speed of 35 words per minute. Demonstrated critical thinking, solution-oriented interaction, and a commitment to the highest level of customer service are required.
• Bonus: Bilingual skills are considered a plus.
