Accountant – Entry Level | NGK Ceramics Polska
The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at NGK Automotive Ceramics USA, Inc., located in Novi, MI. NGK Automotive Ceramics USA, Inc. is a subsidiary of a leading ceramic technology company that supplies major automobile and heavy-duty diesel manufacturers with components for emission control systems. This role is crucial for supporting the Accounting, Finance, and Business Strategy departments by ensuring daily tasks are completed, maintaining functionality and efficiency, and documenting processes. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining financial accuracy and operational transparency.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Cash Flow: Record daily bank transactions for cash flow reporting and accuracy, including monthly bank reconciliation and cash posting to the general ledger.
• Monitor Credit Cards: Oversee corporate credit card balances to ensure accuracy, prevent fraud, and reconcile transactions after posting to the general ledger.
• Assist Accounts Receivable: Support the Accounts Receivable team by issuing invoices and monitoring the status of accounts receivable and collections.
• Prepare Financial Reports: Contribute to the preparation and submission of required financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements and closings.
• Maintain Inventory Records: Manage inventory files, analyze purchase and sales transactions, and post them to the general ledger monthly, ensuring alignment with ERP applications.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or an equivalent field for an entry-level accounting position.
• Experience: Knowledge of general bookkeeping, basic accounting procedures, and audits, including managing daily financial transactions, expenses, payroll, sales revenues, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, banking, and cash.
• Skills: Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles (GAAP, J-SOX), proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records, hands-on experience and proficiency with MS Office, MS Excel, and ERP software, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
