What You’ll Actually Do
• Security Monitoring: Assist in the continuous monitoring and analysis of security events and alerts to detect potential threats.
• Vulnerability Support: Support vulnerability assessments and basic security testing activities to identify weaknesses in systems.
• Threat Research: Conduct security research on emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and various attack techniques.
• Incident Response: Provide support for incident response activities and contribute to critical security documentation efforts.
• System Assessment: Perform basic network and system security assessments to evaluate overall security posture.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position for individuals currently pursuing or who have recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Security, or a closely related field.
• Experience: Basic understanding of core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and VPN is required. Familiarity with widely used operating systems like Windows and Linux is also necessary, alongside foundational knowledge of common cybersecurity concepts including malware, phishing, firewalls, and encryption.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, complemented by good communication and documentation skills. A passion for cybersecurity and a commitment to continuous learning are essential for this role.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Network Security Fundamentals, Linux & Windows Administration, Ethical Hacking Basics, and Vulnerability Assessment. Familiarity with cybersecurity tools like Wireshark, Nmap, and basic knowledge of Burp Suite are advantageous, as is an understanding of SIEM Concepts and scripting abilities in Python or Bash.
