This entry-to-early-level bench role is crucial for executing established wet chemistry methods accurately and efficiently, directly supporting sample analysis across the company’s food and nutrition testing portfolio.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Sample Preparation: Perform routine sample preparation and wet chemistry extractions following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Instrument Operation: Execute basic operation of mass spectrometry instrumentation, including sample loading, run setup, routine maintenance, and processing of data under validated methods.
• Documentation & Quality: Accurately document all testing activities in accordance with ISO 17025 quality standards and communicate any deviations, anomalies, or quality concerns to senior lab staff promptly.
• Lab Maintenance: Maintain lab cleanliness, ensure equipment upkeep, practice proper chemical handling and storage, and follow all lab safety protocols, including appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use and hazardous waste handling.
• Sample Support: Support sample intake, tracking, and chain-of-custody documentation as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on lab experience). Entry-Level career level.
• Experience: 1+ year working in an analytical chemistry lab.
• Skills: Foundational understanding of wet chemistry techniques (extractions, titrations, sample prep); Basic familiarity with mass spectrometry instrumentation and general lab equipment; Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs precisely; Comfort working in a high-sample-volume lab environment.
• Bonus: Prior experience in a food, nutrition, or testing lab; Exposure to ISO 17025 or similar quality management systems; Lab experience involving LC-MS, GC, or ICP-MS.
