The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, Denmark
• Pay: kr 788,300.00–kr 1,301,000.00 yearly
• Team: This role sits within Microsoft’s CELA (Corporate, External & Legal Affairs) organization.
• Mission: Lead Microsoft’s engagement with governments and stakeholders in Denmark and Iceland to shape policies that enable innovation, trust, and responsible adoption of new technologies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Policy Analysis: Analyze policy, regulatory, geopolitical, and market developments in Denmark, Iceland, and Europe to understand implications for technology and innovation.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to developing Microsoft’s country-level policy agenda and strategic priorities, integrating regional and global viewpoints.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain trusted relationships with government institutions, regulators, business associations, and other key stakeholders in Denmark and Iceland.
• Public Representation: Represent Microsoft in meetings, conferences, and public forums, contributing to dialogue on technology and digital transformation.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Drive internal collaboration across CELA, Public Sector, and other business teams to align on policy approaches and stakeholder engagement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s degree in Public Policy, Law, International Relations, Political Science, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrable experience in government affairs, public policy, or corporate affairs, at a Director level.
• Experience: Significant demonstrable experience in government affairs, public policy, or corporate affairs, including developing and managing strategic relationships to influence technology or public policy priorities.
• Skills: Public Policy, Government Relations, Strategic Advocacy, Stakeholder Engagement, Cross-functional Collaboration.
• Bonus: Direct experience working with government officials or policy stakeholders in Denmark and/or the Nordic region, and an understanding of digital policy areas such as cloud, cybersecurity, AI governance, and data protection.
