Vice President, Real Estate, AIBD | Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), located in Singapore. MUFG Bank provides financing solutions to top-tier institutional real estate clients across Asia Pacific. This role is crucial for supporting the expansion of the Real Estate platform by leading the execution and management of complex structured financing transactions across the region, contributing to MUFG’s strategic growth and client service.

• Mission: Lead the execution and management of complex structured real estate financing transactions across Asia Pacific to support platform expansion.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Deal Execution Leadership: Lead the execution process of non-recourse / structured financings, managing initial due diligence, financial modelling, credit paper preparation, and documentation through to financial close.
• Credit and Proposal Development: Review, formulate, and prepare comprehensive marketing/pitch proposals, credit proposals, customer deliverables, and various reports as required for APAC Management.
• Strategic Alignment and Collaboration: Work with senior stakeholders and other MUFG teams by providing analysis and suggestions towards MUFG’s strategic goals in Real Estate and associated businesses.
• Client and Product Partner Coordination: Work with MUFG clients across Oceania and regionally, while coordinating and liaising with other product partners and the credit department to enable timely delivery of transactions.
• Team Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior team members with respect to work tasks and supervise assigned deliverables from junior AIBD members across the region.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree qualified with a minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate banking, investment banking, real estate finance, project finance, advisory, accounting, or consulting.
• Experience: At least 4 years of direct experience in real estate financing, demonstrating end-to-end management of complex real estate financing transactions through financial close, including debt structuring, project management, credit analysis, and documentation skills.
• Skills: Strong analytical and commercial acumen with the ability to identify business and cross-selling opportunities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong stakeholder management abilities across various teams.
• Bonus: Prior people management experience is advantageous, though informal leadership and guidance to junior colleagues will also be considered.
