The Tone:
This is a temporary, contract-based internship with Insight Global, located in Pittsburgh, PA, operating on a specific schedule from August 3rd to August 18th. Insight Global is facilitating a crucial research study aimed at gathering real-world behavioral data to inform client product and service development. This role involves directly participating in authentic customer scenarios within various retail and public venues, providing foundational insights into consumer interactions. The data collected from these filmed sessions is essential for prototyping and enhancing new products and services, making this a direct contribution to tangible development efforts.

The TL;DR

• Mission: Act as a project participant to create authentic customer experiences, generating observational data for client product and service development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Act: Serve as a “Retail Actor/Project Participant,” creating and engaging in authentic customer experiences within diverse retail locations and venues, such as grocery stores and museums.
• Commute: Travel daily to varying research locations, typically one per day across the Pittsburgh area, utilizing a reliable personal vehicle or local transit, with parking and mileage eligible for expense.
• Schedule: Adhere to a defined temporary schedule of five evening shifts per week, including weekends, from August 3rd to August 18th, understanding that exact times and locations will vary based on venue bookings.
• Consent: Sign a comprehensive consent form, agreeing to be filmed and recorded, allowing your voice, face, motions, and body to be used in the client’s product and service development and prototyping.
• Support: Provide assistance with camera set-up tasks as needed to ensure all research sessions are properly prepared for filming.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level individual comfortable with being filmed and recorded, and willing to actively participate as a project participant in a research study.
• Experience: Must be able to sign a consent form explicitly allowing captured data (voice, face, motions, body) to be used for client product and service development and prototyping.
• Skills: Ability to comfortably commute daily to various locations (one per day) throughout Pittsburgh, possessing a reliable personal vehicle or being in close proximity to local public transit options.
• Availability: Capacity to commit to 5 evening shifts per week (e.g., 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM), including weekends, for the duration of the study from August 3rd to August 18th, with flexibility for varying shift times and locations.
