Project Intern – Entry Level EHS Analyst | Risk 1 Consulting
The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid internship at Risk 1 Consulting, located in Jacksonville, FL, with work-from-home flexibility. Risk 1 Consulting is a firm dedicated to helping clients manage risk by implementing practical, compliant environmental, health, safety, security, and sustainability solutions. This role is crucial for supporting project teams by assisting with fundamental EHS data collection and analysis, contributing directly to client success in navigating complex regulatory environments. The position offers hands-on experience in EHS consulting and exposure to diverse industries and compliance programs.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Management: Collect, analyze, and report EHS data to inform risk management strategies for clients.
• Regulatory Research: Research and interpret EHS regulatory requirements to ensure client compliance.
• Documentation & Tracking: Develop and update various project-related documents and EHS tracking tools.
• Training Support: Contribute to the creation of training materials and assist with EHS-related presentations or sessions.
• Assessment & Recommendations: Help conduct basic occupational health and safety assessments and contribute to improvement recommendations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Foundational knowledge in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Occupational Health, coupled with an interest in regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Experience: Proficiency in common office software, specifically spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation tools.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support problem-solving.
• Effective communication skills for clear written documentation and professional verbal interaction with team members and clients.
• Ability to support training efforts, including material preparation and presentation assistance.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Bonus:
• Relevant coursework or a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
