Controlling Intern | Porsche Cars North America
The Tone:
This is an internship at Porsche Cars North America, located in Atlanta, GA. Porsche Cars North America is the regional headquarters, and its Controlling team is responsible for preparing and reporting accurate financial performance information. This role matters as it directly supports the Financial Analyst in crucial financial reporting activities, contributing to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes. The intern will play a key role in providing essential financial support and analysis across various departments.

• Mission: To support the Financial Analyst in preparing monthly financial reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and providing financial analysis for various projects.
• Tech Stack: MS Excel, PowerPoint, financial software and tools
What You’ll Actually Do
• Process: Complete manual Manufacturer Statements of Origin (MSOs) for all Porsche dealers, requiring in-office work on specific days.
• Report: Support the monthly financial close process by assisting with journal entry preparation, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Forecast: Assist with the implementation and tracking of Preview forecasting activities.
• Analyze: Create and maintain monthly analysis reports for assigned financial areas.
• Support: Provide financial support and analysis to various department managers and teams.
• Project: Contribute to ad hoc financial projects as assigned by the team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate degree (or junior or senior actively pursuing an undergraduate degree) in finance, accounting, or an equivalent field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: Solid understanding of basic accounting and finance principles is required.
• Skills: Detail-oriented analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy; strong communication skills (both written and verbal); ability to effectively manage multiple tasks with strong time management skills; strong computer skills, especially with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
